Class Size
Because we are such a small school, with just one class per year, there is a wonderful opportunity for interaction between the different age groups. This may be on a formal basis, such as Year 9 creating Powerpoint stories for Years 1 and 2, or Year 7 using an English lesson to devise and subsequently perform a short play for the Early Years children.Or it may simply be a sympathetic sixteen year-old taking time out from revision to comfort a six year-old who has fallen over!
Our size also enables teachers quickly to recognise those children whose development may be a little slower than that of their peer group, as well as the high achievers, and to respond to each with appropriate challenges.
