The integrated Oakfield curriculum begins in Year 3, from which time the School follows the I.S.E.B. Common Entrance programme, in readiness for International GCSE examinations at 15 years old. This standard prepares all our pupils for further study at A Level or International Baccalaureate.
From Year 5 children are taught English, mathematics, science and languages by specialist teachers.
The following subjects are studied to IGCSE:
All pupils therefore take a minimum of ten subjects, with art and design and music offered as optional extras.
During the day it is the teachers and not the children who change classrooms, except when the lesson requires a specialist teaching environment such as science or art. Each pupil has her own desk.
We live in a safe, honest and secure environment where there is the highest regard for private property and the personal belongings of others. There exists no need for keys or lockers.
